“Learn by doing” is Cal Poly’s motto, and is taken to heart in each class taught in the Horticulture and Crop Science Department. In addition to learning by doing in each class, students have the opportunity to participate in Enterprise Projects.

Enterprise projects allow students to grow, maintain, market, and sell a product, and receive a portion of the profit along with academic credit. There are a variety of projects to choose from and room for new projects. Look below to see a description of some of the enterprise projects we currently have going in our department.
